I’m a columnist at The Pitt News, a contributor to PittBriefly, a host of The Media Roundtable on WPTS and a student studying history at the University of Pittsburgh. I use this site as a hub for my varied work in campus media. It’s a place where I bring all of my reporting together and share it with Pitt students and others in one central location.
It’s also a place where I can provide students and others who are interested in Liberty a collection of resources including book reviews, an events calendar and (coming soon) an essay contest. Libertarian and classically liberal ideals are underrepresented on college campuses today and this is my contribution to keeping the spark alive so that we do not forget the foundational ideal of this American Republic: individual liberty.
From including book reviews to maintaining a calendar to establishing the essay contest, much of this site is a work in progress but I’ll be updating these features frequently while continuing to publish quality local reporting. Most importantly, this site is a forum where I hope my readers will post frequent comments and engage with me on the issues.
Read and comment,
Giles
